1) Battery Data Scientist

As a Battery Data Scientist at ThinkClock, you will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting data related to battery performance, optimizing algorithms, and contributing to the development of next-generation energy storage solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data science, machine learning, and battery technology.
Responsibilities
  1. Conduct data-driven research to develop advanced models for Battery State-of-Health (SoH) estimation.
  2. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate Physics-based models with Machine Learning techniques.
  3. Utilize digital twins and spectroscopy techniques (EIS, Acoustic/RF Spectroscopy, Thermal scanning) for in-depth battery health analytics.
  4. Develop and implement algorithms to interpret diagnostic insights from microscopic battery data.
  5. Contribute to the enhancement of BatteryScope tool for better predictive maintenance and informed warranty policies.
  6. Work on bespoke data collection experiments for battery systems to improve precision and standardization.
Qualifications
  • Ph.D. or Master's degree in Data Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Strong background in machine learning, computational modeling, and battery technologies.
  • Experience in data collection and analysis for complex physical systems.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, MATLAB, or similar.
  • Familiarity with electrochemical systems and battery health monitoring.

2) Battery Characterization Engineer

  1. Conduct detailed electrical and electrochemical characterization of battery cells using Lab instruments like Battery Cycler, Thermal chamber, Potentiostat, etc. along with using advanced techniques (EIS, Acoustic/RF Spectroscopy, Thermal scanning)
  2. Develop testing protocols for assessing battery performance, efficiency, and durability.
  3. Collaborate with the data science team to integrate experimental data into models for accurate battery health assessment.
  4. Work on improving BatteryScope and CellScope tools for enhanced battery characterization.
  5. Ensure strict cell uniformity in the warehouse, particularly for recycled cells.
Qualifications
  • Master's or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in battery characterization, with knowledge of digital twins and spectroscopy.
  • Familiarity with battery management systems and related software.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data.
